Any vehicle between 3.5 & 7.5. tonnes gross vehicle weight. The 7.5 tonne training and test is the same as the Category C but in the smaller lorry. After your assessment your instructor could recommend less training, in these cases you would of course then pay less for your training. Minimum Age: 18
You must have first passed the Category B test (car). You will need to pass the LGV theory test before taking the C1 driving test . When you have passed your C1 test and decide to move on to Category C you will not have to do another theory test. Normal Duration: 2-5 days Course Includes: Use of tachographs, drivers hours LGV Theory Test: Yes The basic syllabus for each trainee for each course is the same: however the time that each trainee needs on any one subject can vary, so in view of this your course is planned to take this into account. The length of your training will depend on your own natural driving ability and perhaps any previous LGV driving experience you may have |
